About the Journal
The Journal of the Stylistic of Persian Poem and Prose (former Bahar-e-Adab) is an open-access monthly publication focusing on the specialized field of Persian prose and verse stylistics. Founded by Dr. Omid Majd, this private monthly magazine published its first issue in the autumn of 2008 and, with the valuable scientific credentials of esteemed members of the editorial board, as well as the rich and valuable articles submitted by distinguished researchers, it achieved a valuable scientific-research rating in the summer of 2009 after a year and a half. Journal Objectives
Persian language and literature cover an extensive range of topics that span one thousand two hundred years. Among them, we have focused our research on the stylistics and analysis of Persian poetry and prose texts because there is no other journal active in this field. Secondly, stylistics is one of the most specialized fields of Persian language and literature, which requires mastery of texts, rhetoric, grammar, language history, and literature. Therefore, studying this branch of literature is also a complement to other branches. The aim of the journal is to encourage researchers to conduct research in this field.
Journal Topics
This monthly journal recognizes articles with a focus on the following topics:
A) Examining one or more partial or general components over one or more periods or several poets and writers in different periods, such as examining the evolution of contemporary children and adolescent poetry, examining religious poems of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, and comparing them with the ninth and tenth centuries, the evolution of exaggeration in the Khorasani style, introducing the wonders books and their evolution in Persian poetry, the diversity of using the method of equation in Hafez’s poetry and comparing it with others, …
B) Examining the specific features or innovations of a poet or writer in one or more rhetorical, linguistic, or intellectual elements, such as Saadi’s innovations in ambiguity, special tricks of using Quranic verses in Jahan Goshay Joveini, special imagery of Saeb Tabrizi with candle, melancholy as a stylistic feature of Shahriar, musical metaphors as a feature of Khaghani’s poetry, …
C) Introducing a handwritten corrected version of a poet or writer as follows: introducing the poet or writer and his brief biography, introducing the corrected collection in terms of quantity and content, introducing the manuscripts and their physical features, extracting the most important stylistic features of the manuscript and possible innovations of the poet or writer, comparing the content of the book with previous and subsequent books in general and presenting the prominent and special differences if any. D) Stylistics of published works in any intellectual, linguistic, and literary layers or their combination, examining a partial element is also acceptable if it has a high frequency, innovations, and special modes. For example, the stylistics of Anvari’s ghazals, the stylistics of the literary poems of Daqiqi, the introduction of an anonymous satirical poet, Mohammad Ali Fadaei, and explaining his position in contemporary satirical poetry.
E) Articles that examine the influence or impact of poets or writers on each other, such as Saadi’s influence by Ghazali’s thoughts.
