Stylistics of the rhetorical layer of expression in the conditions of eulogies of the seventh and eighth centuries AH
Aria Negin Taji (Author in Charge)
Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Problem Statement and Objective: Layered Stylistics is considered as one of the new approaches in linguistics, which can be used to determine the frequency of literary works, especially poetry. As one of the important elements of an ode, the condition plays an influential role in the creation of odes and is considered one of the main elements of the ode structure. Examining the rhetorical stylistic layer and aesthetics of the condition in odes is one of the approaches of researchers to examine the worldview of poets and also to understand the different intellectual angles of the ode.
METHODOLOGY: The present study, using a descriptive and analytical method and using the tool of library study, examined the rhetorical layer of the expression of conditions in the odes of praise of Persian poetry by six poets, Saadi, Fakhr al-Din Iraqi and Kamal al-Din Ismail in the seventh century and Salman Sawji, Ubaid Zakani and Ibn Yamin in the eighth century AH.
FINDINGS: The sharitha, which are one of the main elements of the ode, have rhetorical-declarative layers, and during these sharithas, poets in the seventh and eighth centuries used literary art and beauty to better demonstrate this element and used various rhetorical techniques such as simile, metaphor, allusion, and alliteration to convey their words.
CONCLUSION: The results of this research show that poets in the seventh century paid less attention to sharithas and used fewer expressive elements, but in the eighth century, poets have more laudatory odes and used many expressive techniques, especially simile and allusion, to describe their praised person in the sharithas of odes.
