Serajel Tawarikh is a comprehensive history of Afghanistan that covers events from the time of Ahmad Shah Abdali down through the reign of Habib Ullah Khan (1862) and first year of empire of Amir Amanulla Ghazi. Initially the biography of his life will be introduced and then historical value and Historical Perspective and historiography of Fayz Muhammad Katib and importance of Serajel Tawarikh and its most important feature which is the author"s commitment to honesty, integrity and reliability of information will be discussed. Fayz Muhammad Katib is known as ‘the father of the Afghanistan history’ and ‘Bayahghi Sanayi’ and Serajel Tawarikh is a comprehensive history of Afghanistan, is called ‘Omm ol Tawarikh’. The three volume of Serajel Tawarikh were printed but the forth volume and some part of third volume weren’t available until (1390), so any assays and researches are based on the third volume, therefore it is necessary to an essay about Historical Perspective and historiography of Fayz Muhammad Katib based on fore volume, because the most his thoughts of Historical Perspective and historiography of Fayz Muhammad Katib is in the fourth volume.در این پژوهش، به تاریخ نگری فیض محمد کاتب (1279-1349ق) و جایگاه وی، در تاریخ ادبیات افغانستان، پرداخته شده است. سراج التواریخ، دربردارنده تاریخ افغانستان، از دوره احمدشاه ابدالی سدوزایی (1186ق) تا سال اول حکومت امیر امان الله خان غازی (1297ق) است. این مقاله ابتدا به معرفی، شرح حال و زندگی فیض محمد کاتب، سپس به اهمیت و ارزش تاریخی سراج التواریخ و نیز تاریخ نگری مؤلف این اثر می پردازد. از مهم ترین ویژگی های سراج التواریخ ، می توان تعهد نویسنده به صداقت و موثق بودن اطلاعات و منابع نام برد که بر اساس اسناد و مدارک دولتی نوشته شده است. فیض محمد کاتب با آگاهی و دیدگاهی که به تاریخ و تاریخ نگاری داشته، در سراج التواریخ به ذکر رویدادهایی می پردازد که از نگاه تاریخی دارای اهمیت چندانی نیستند؛ اما چون روی در عبرت و عبرت آموزی برای آیندگان ندارد به آن اشاره می کند. همین توجه به جزئیات و حقیقت گویی در سراج التواریخ است که صاحب نظران و دانشمندان، فیض محمد کاتب را «پدر تاریخ نویسی افغانستان» و «بیهقی ثانی» و سراج التواریخ را «ام التواریخ» دانسته‎ اند. با توجه به اینکه مجلد چهارم و بخشی از مجلد سوم تا سال 1390ق مفقود بود و در دسترس نبود و هر گونه نوشته و تحقیقی بر اساس سه جلد بوده است بنابراین پژوهشی درباره تاریخ نگری فیض محمد کاتب ایجاب می کند؛ زیرا بیشتر نظرها و نگاه های او به تاریخ نگری، در جلد چهارم بیان شده است. and lt;-p and gt;فیض محمد کاتب, تاریخ افغانستان, سراج التواریخ, تاریخ ‌نگری و تاریخ‌ نگاری افFayz Muhammad Katib, History of Afghanistan, Historical Perspective & Histhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/831.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/831.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/تاریخ‌نگاری و تاریخ‌نگری فیض‌محمدکاتب( بر اساس سراج‌التواریخ)https://bahareadab.com/en/article/Historiography and History of “Feyz Mohammad Kateb” (Based on the ”Seraj-o-Tavarikh)
