This theory, first formally proposed by Brown and Levinson, led to the publication of a book in 1987 that examines and analyzes various aspects of politeness strategies. In this research, based on Brown and Levinson"s politeness theory, we will analyze and evaluate the ghazals of Omid Majd, a contemporary ghazal poet, to analyze the beloved"s face, and the negative and positive politeness strategies in his ghazals. METHODOLOGY: This research has been conducted based on a descriptive-analytical approach and an information gathering method through library studies of the collection "Hamrah Baran" from Omid Majd"s ghazal collection. To achieve accurate data and reliable evaluation, all instances were extracted, and the results were presented in the form of statistical analysis. FINDINGS: The findings indicate that in Majd"s ghazals, a high volume of polite speech strategies are present in both direct and indirect forms. The poet has strived to effectively utilize these tools to elevate the beloved and avoid face-threatening acts. CONCLUSION: In Majd"s ghazals, due to the position and status of the speaker (poet) and the respect he holds for his beloved and audience, the negative face has been taken into consideration. The poet has strongly avoided the positive (familiar) face, even in romantic conversations. All states, descriptions, whether in deprivation and separation or in expressions of complaint, are observable within the framework of the negative face in Majd"s speech, behavior, and narrative descriptions. Respectful requests, prayers, and expressions of affection, which are manifestations of positive politeness, are more frequently used in the ghazals of this contemporary poet.زمینه و هدف: نظریه ادب، یکی از نظریات نوین در زبانشناسی است که در حیطه تحلیل گفتگو و علوم کاربردشناسی بسیار حائز اهمیت است. این نظریه که به صورت رسمی نخستین بار توسط براون و لوینسون مطرح گردید، در سال 1987 منجر به ارائه کتابی در این زمینه شد که زوایای مختلف راهبرد ادب را بررسی و تحلیل مینماید. در این پژوهش با تکیه بر نظریه ادب براون و لوینسون به تحلیل و ارزیابی غزلیات امید مجد از شاعران غزلسرای معاصر خواهیم پرداخت تا وجهه معشوق، راهبردهای ادب منفی و ادب مثبت را در غزلیات وی تحلیل نماییم. روش پژوهش: این پژوهش برمبنای شیوه توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و روش گردآوری اطلاعات از طریق مطالعه کتابخانه ای در مجموعه «همراه باران» از مجموعه غزلیات امید مجد به انجام رسیده است. جهت دستیابی به داده های دقیق و ارزیابی قابل‌اعتماد، تمامی مصادیق استخراج و نتایج در قالب تحلیل آماری ارائه گردیده است. یافته های پژوهش: یافته های پژوهش حاکی از آنست که در غزلیات مجد حجم بالایی از راهبردهای گفتار مؤدبانه بصورت بیان مستقیم و غیرمستقیم وجود دارد. شاعر تلاش کرده ‌است تا از این ابزارها در جهت اعتلای معشوق و پرهیز از کنشهای تهدیدکننده وجهه او بخوبی بهره گیرد. نتایج پژوهش: در غزلیات مجد بنا به جایگاه و شأن گوینده (شاعر) و احترامی که وی برای معشوق و مخاطب خویش قائل است، وجهه رسمی مورد توجه قرار گرفته است و شاعراز وجهه ایجابی (خودمانی) حتی در گفتگوهای عاشقانه ‌بشدت پرهیز کرده و تمامی حالات، توصیفات چه در حرمان و فراق و چه با زبان شکوه و شکایت، در قالب وجهه سلبی در گفتار و رفتار و توصیفات روایی در غزلیات مجد قابل مشاهد است. درخواست محترمانه، دعا و ابراز علاقه که از نمودهای ادب مثبت است در غزلیات این شاعر معاصر کاربرد بیشتری دارد.امید مجد, براون و لوینسون, راهبردهای ادب, غزل معاصر, نظریه ادب.Omid Majd, Brown and Levinson, Literary Strategies, Contemporary Ghazal, Literary Theoryhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1995.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1995.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/تحلیل و بررسی راهبردهای ادب از دیدگاه براون و لوینسون در غزلیات امید مجد بر اساس دفتر غزل" همراه باران"https://bahareadab.com/en/article/Analysis and Examination of Politeness Strategies from the Perspective of Brown and Levinson in the Ghazals of Omid Majd
