The growing scholarly interest in applying psychological theories to the analysis of religious and mystical experiences provides the context for this research. Accordingly, the main aim is to reread the emotional and pedagogical relationship between disciple and master within the framework of khawf (fear) and rajāʾ (hope), and to interpret it through attachment theory. METHODOLOGY: The research employs a descriptive–analytical approach, using content analysis of selected narratives from Tadhkirat al-Awliyāʾ. FINDINGS: The findings indicate that in ʿAṭṭār’s narratives, the master often functions as a “secure base” for the disciple. Experiences of fear and hope serve as mechanisms for emotional regulation, strengthening spiritual trust, and shaping the seeker’s mystical identity. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that the master–disciple relationship can be understood as a form of spiritual attachment, in which fear of separation and hope for divine proximity jointly guide the process of spiritual growth.زمینه و هدف: این پژوهش با تمرکز بر متون عرفانی کلاسیک، به بررسی نسبت میان نظریه دلبستگی در روانشناسی دین و الگوی رابطه مرید و مراد در کتاب تذکره الاولیای عطار نیشابوری میپردازد. زمینه شکل‌گیری این مطالعه توجه روزافزون پژوهشهای معاصر به کاربست نظریه های روانشناختی در تحلیل تجربه های دینی و عرفانی است؛ ازاین‌رو هدف اصلی پژوهش، بازخوانی رابطه عاطفی و تربیتی میان مرید و مراد در چارچوب مفاهیم خوف و رجا و تبیین آن بر اساس نظریه دلبستگی است. روشها: این پژوهش با روش توصیفی–تحلیلی و با بهره گیری از تحلیل محتوای حکایات منتخب تذکرهالاولیا صورت گرفته است. یافته ها: یافته های تحقیق نشان میدهد که در روایتهای عطار، مراد اغلب به منزله «پایگاه امن» برای مرید عمل میکند و تجربه های خوف و رجا به عنوان سازوکارهایی برای تنظیم هیجانی، تعمیق اعتماد معنوی و شکل‌گیری هویت سلوکی سالک نقش دارند. نتیجه گیری: نتایج نشان داد که میتوان رابطه مرید و مراد را نمونه ای از الگوی دلبستگی معنوی دانست که در آن ترس از دوری و امید به قرب الهی به طور هم‌زمان فرایند رشد معنوی را هدایت میکنند.نظریه دلبستگی, تذکره الاولیا, مرید و مراد, خوف و رجا, روانشناسی دین, عطار نیشابوری.Attachment theory, Tadhkirat al- Awliyāʾ, master and disciple, khawf and rajāʾ, psychology of religion, ʿAṭṭār of Nishapur.https://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1993.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1993.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/نظریه دلبستگی در تذکره الاولیا: بازخوانی نسبت مرید و مراد در مرز خوف و رجای روانشناسی دینhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/Reinterpreting the Master–Disciple Relationship on the Boundary of Fear and Hope (Psychology of Religion)
