In the mean time, the literary heritage of Islamic Sufism has provided rich sources of application of Quranic verses and hadiths. One is Majma Al-Bahrein by Shams al-Din Ibrahim Abarquhi (second half of the 7th century and the beginning of the 8th century of Hijri). He wrote Majma Al-Bahrein between 711 and 714 AH. In addition to its literary and historical value, this book is rampant of verses from the Holy Quran and various hadiths, especially the words of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The present essay, in the field of stylistics, focuses on the quality and quantity of their applications in Shams Al-din Ibrahim’s book. METHODOLOGY: We have obtained the required data of the following research from investigating the library sources and have scrutinized the data using descriptive-analysis method. The research path is that after the necessary introductions, first with a quantitative approach, some frequency measurements resulting from the complete investigation of the book have been carried out. It shows the standing of the verses and hadiths in this book. Then, we have examined the methods of using them in the book. FINDINGS: Majma Al-Bahrein exploits a lot of verses and hadiths used in borrowing (referenced and non-referenced) and hints methods. Abarqhuhi prefers referenced borrowing over non-referenced ones and hints. He has used borrowing more than a hint. In most cases, only a part of a verse or hadith that provided the author"s opinion appeared in the text. However, sometimes, as needed, he included several verses or hadiths in full and consecutively in his words. He usually mentions verses and hadiths in Arabic. However, sometimes, he uses their Farsi translation. In Majma Al-Bahrein, the dominant method of verbal communication is linking with "that". However, direct links, links with the help of compound simile structures, and quotations are also available in the book. In terms of propositional effectiveness, the most dominant purposes of his use of verses and hadiths are to complete the meaning, emphasize and confirm, bless and trust, explaining and describing, reasoning and justification, simile and allegorical explanation, warning and avoidance and inspiration, exemplification, and citation. CONCLUSION: As a work in the field of mysticism and Sufism, Majmam al-Bahrein has a prominent link with the divine word and the words of the Prophet (PBUH). With the help of the literary devices of referenced or non-reference borrowing and implication, author has provided a successful management to create an effective text in which, based on a useful form and appropriate verbal connection, he has fulfilled his different purposes from mentioning the verses and hadiths.زمینه و هدف: از آغاز اسلام تا کنون آثار ادب فارسی همواره از کلام الهی و سخنان معصومین(ع) بهره‎مند بوده و در این میان، میراث ادبی تصوّف اسلامی منابعی غنی از کاربرد آیات قرآن و احادیث را برای مشتاقان فراهم آورده است. یکی از این آثار مجمع البحرین، تألیف شمس‌الدّین ابراهیم ابرقوهی(نیمۀ دوم سدۀ هفتم و آغاز قرن هشتم هجری) است. وی مجمع البحرین را بین سالهای 711 تا 714 هجری نوشته شده است. این کتاب علاوه بر ارزش ادبی و تاریخی، مشحون از آیات قرآن کریم و احادیث مختلف، بویژه سخنان حضرت محمّد(ص) است. جستار حاضر که در حوزۀ سبک‌شناسی است، به مطالعۀ کاربرد آنها در کلام شمس‌الدّین ابراهیم پرداخته است. روش مطالعه: در این تحقیق، داده های مورد نیاز از کنکاش در منابع کتابخانه ای بدست آمده و سپس داده های مزبور با روش مطالعاتی تحلیلی-توصیفی بررسی شده است. مسیر تحقیق چنین است که پس از مقدّمات ضروری، چگونگی پیوند آیه و حدیث با کلام ابرقوهی از نظر صنعت ادبی، ارتباطات شکلی و لفظی و اغراض وی مطالعه شده است. بعلاوه، در مواردی که بررسی فراوانی معنادار بوده، بسامدسنجی صورت گرفته است. یافته ها: مجمع البحرین سرشار از آیات و احادیث است که به روشهای تضمین، اقتباس و تلمیح به کار رفته اند. ابرقوهی تضمین را بر اقتباس و تلمیح ترجیح میدهد و اقتباس را بیش از تلمیح استفاده کرده است. در اغلب موارد صرفاً بخشی از یک آیه یا حدیث که نظر مؤلّف را تأمین میکرده در متن ظاهر شده است. با این حال، گاهی بر حسب نیاز، چندین آیه را به صورت کامل و متوالی در کلام خود گنجانده است. وی معمولاً آیه و حدیث را به عربی ذکر میکند، ولی گاهی هم از ترجمۀ آنها بهره میبرد. در مجمع البحرین، روش ارتباط لفظیِ غالب پیوند با «که» موصولی است. با وجود این، پیوند بی‌فاصله، پیوند با کمک ترکیب اضافی و نقل قول هم دیده میشود. از لحاظ تأثیرپذیری گزاره ای، مهمترین اغراض وی از کاربرد آیات و احادیث عبارتند از تتمیم و تکمیل معنا، تأکید و تأیید، تبرّک و تیمّن، تبیین و توضیح، تعلیل و توجیه، تشبیه و تمثیل، تحذیر(هشدار و انذار) و تحریض، استشهاد و استناد. نتیجه گیری: مجمع البحرین به عنوان اثری در حوزۀ عرفان و تصوّف، پیوند برجسته ای با کلام الهی و سخنان حضرت رسول(ص) دارد و ابرقوهی با کمک صنایع ادبیِ تضمین، اقتباس و تلمیح، موفّق شده متنی اثرگذار را بیافریند که در آن، بر اساس شکل مفید و ارتباط لفظی مناسب، اغراض متفاوت مؤلّف از ذکر آیات و روایات برآورده شود.حدیث, سبک‌شناسی, شمس‌الدّین ابراهیم ابرقوهی, قرآن کریم, مجمع البحرینstylistics, Shams al-Din Ebrahim Abarqhuhi, Majma al-Bahrein, Holy Quran, Hadithhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1753.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1753.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/واکاوی روشهای کاربرد آیات قرآن و احادیث در مجمع البحرین ابرقوهیhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/A methodological investigation of application of Quranic verses and hadiths in Abarqhuhi’s Majma Al-Bahrein
