Finding the origin of myths, especially religious-historical myths, has been an important issue that scientists of various sciences have always searched for the reason of the importance of this important issue for mankind. In this article, the authors try to first point out about archetypes and prototypes, then examine this connection in the poetry of Khorasani and Iraqi style poets. METHODOLOGY: The current research is a basic and applied research. The work method is analytical-descriptive and the method of collecting information is library. FINDINGS: Poets have emphasized two axes in the depth of their thoughts. Some poets have put the prototype of the religious personality of Imam Ali (AS) on the same level as Rostam and have always used the character of Hazrat Ali (AS) in their verses and mentioned the national hero of Iran, Rostam. This view is more common in the poetry of Khorasani style poets. Poets who have described the bravery of Imam Ali (AS) in their poems as a religious hero superior to Rostam. This type of view is seen more in the thinking of religious poets. CONCLUSION: The predominance of nationalism over religion in the Khorasani style and even among religious poets and mystics is tangible. On the other hand, some poets such as Nasser Khosrow, based on their religious views and religious beliefs, have placed the prototype of Hazrat Ali (AS) in opposition to Rostam as a national hero and have described Hazrat Ali as superior to Rostam.زمینه و هدف: فرهنگ ایرانی و اسلامی در زمینه های مختلف با هم پیوند داشته اند، از جمله این تعامل می توان به تلفیق پروتوتایپهای[1] ملی و مذهبی در فرهنگ و شعر فارسی اشاره کرد. یافتن منشأ اسطوره ها به خصوص اسطوره های دینی–تاریخی مسأله ای مهم بوده که همیشه دانشمندان علوم مختلف به دنبال چرایی اهمیت این موضوع مهم برای بشر بوده اند. نگارندگان در این مقاله سعی برآن دارند، ابتدا پیرامون کهن‌الگو و پروتوتایپ مطالبی اشاره کنند، سپس این پیوند را در شعر شاعران سبک خراسانی و عراقی بررسی نمایند. روش مطالعه: پژوهش حاضر یک پژوهش بنیادی و کاربردی است. روش کار تحلیلی - توصیفی است و روش گردآوری اطلاعات کتابخانه ای هست. یافته ها: شاعران در ژرف ساخت تفکرات خود بر دو محور تاکید کرده اند. برخی شاعران پروتوتایپ شخصیت مذهبی امام علی (ع) با رستم در یک سطح قرار داده اند و هر زمان در ابیات خود از شخصیت حضرت علی (ع) استفاده کرده اند در کنار آن از قهرمان ملی ایرانیان یعنی رستم نام برده اند. که این نگاه بشتر در شعر شاعران سبک خراسانی وجود دارد. شاعرانی که در آثار منظوم خود مقام دلاوری امام علی (ع) به عنوان قهرمان مذهبی برتر از رستم توصیف کرد‌ه اند. این نوع نگاه بیشتر در تفکر شاعران متشرع و مذهبی دیده می‌شود. نتیجه گیری: غلبه ملی گرایی بر مذهب در سبک خراسانی و حتی بین شاعران متشرع و عارف مسلک‌‌، محسوس و ملموس است‌‌. در مقابل برخی شاعران مانند ناصرخسرو بر اساس دیدگاه دینی و اعتقادات مذهبی پروتوتایپ حضرت علی (ع) را در تقابل با رستم به عنوان قهرمان ملی قرار داده اند و حضرت را برتر از رستم بیان کرد‌ه اند.
