Most Iranian historians have been familiar with literary techniques, and it has been customary for historians to use poetry while dealing with historical events and recording events related to the kings and rulers of the region, in order to embellish words or express literary knowledge. Also, writing poems by the author himself and using the poems of other poets with narrative, descriptive and moral functions and in some cases recording the material-history is also seen in this. Therefore, in this research, the function of the poems used in two historical works "Tarikh ol-Jaytu" from the Mughal period and "Ehya al-Moluk" from the Safavid period is investigated in order to discover the personal style of these authors and the frequency of the mentioned functions in their works. METHODOLOGY: This research was done in a descriptive-analytical way using library studies. FINDINGS: By examining both historical works, it was found that in the history of ol-Jayto, the historian"s preference was to use narrative poems with a religious approach and fragment format. In Ehya al-Moluk, the historian prefers descriptive poems with a religious and mystical approach. The author of Ahya al-Muluk has preferred the Masnavi format over other poetic formats. CONCLUSION: The results of this research indicate that in most cases, Kashani considered the contextual similarity of the selected poem with the incident or event mentioned in the text. This choice indicates the author"s aristocracy on Iranian verse literature. The author of Ehya al-Maluk has also tried to introduce the poets of his ancestral land (Sistan) by choosing their poems. The common feature of both works is the high frequency of using Hakim Ferdowsi Tosi"s poems, which can express the authors" interest in the epic atmosphere of the Shahnameh and the induction of the similarities between the desired Mamdoh and the heroes of the Shahnameh.زمینه و هدف: استفاده از اشعار فارسی در تاریخ نگاری ایرانی، قدمتی هزارساله دارد. اغلب مورخان ایرانی، افرادی آشنا با فنون ادبی بوده اند و بکارگیری شعر درضمن پرداختن به حوادث تاریخی و ثبت وقایع مربوط به پادشاهان و حکمرانان منطقه، بمنظور تلطیف کلام و یا اظهار دانش ادبی توسط تاریخ نویسان مرسوم بوده است. همچنین سرودن اشعار توسط خود مؤلف و استفاده از شعر شاعران دیگر با کارکردهای روایی، وصفی و اخلاقی و در مواردی ثبت ماده تاریخ، نیز در این بین به چشم میخورد. لذا در این پژوهش کارکرد اشعار بکاررفته در دو اثر تاریخی «تاریخ الجایتو» از دوره مغول و «احیاءالملوک» از دورۀ صفوی بررسی میشود تا سبک شخصی این نویسندگان و بسامد کارکردهای مذکور در آثار آنان کشف شود. روش مطالعه: این جستار به شیوه توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با استفاده از مطالعات کتابخانه ای انجام شده است. یافته ها: با بررسی هر دو اثر تاریخی مشخص شد در تاریخ الجایتو، ترجیح مورخ، استفاده از اشعار روایی با رویکردی مذهبی و قالب قطعه بوده است. در احیاءالملوک نیز ترجیح مورخ اشعار وصفی با رویکرد مذهبی و عرفانی است. نویسنده احیاءءالملوک، قالب مثنوی را بر دیگر قالبهای شعری ترجیح داده است. نتیجه گیری: نتایج این پژوهش حاکی از آن است که کاشانی در انتخاب اشعار در بیشتر موارد، شباهت زمینه ای شعر منتخب را با حادثه یا رویداد اشاره شده در متن، مدنظر داشته است. این انتخاب، دلالت بر اشراف نویسنده بر ادبیات منظوم ایران دارد. مؤلف احیاءالملوک نیز با انتخاب اشعار شاعران سرزمین اجدادی خویش (سیستان) سعی در شناساندن و معرفی آنان داشته است. وجه اشتراک هر دو اثر، بسامد بالای استفاده از اشعار حکیم فردوسی توسی است که میتواند بیانگر علاقۀ مؤلفان به فضای حماسی شاهنامه و القای اشتراکات ممدوح موردنظر با قهرمانان شاهنامه باشد. سبک شناسی, تاریخ الجایتو, احیاءالملوک, کارکرد شعر.Stylistics, The history of al-Jayto, Ehya al-Moluk, The function of poetry.https://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1433.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1433.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/تأثیر اشعار برگزیده بر سبک تاریخ‌نگاری در دو کتاب تاریخ الجایتو و احیاءالملوکhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/The influence of selected poems on the style of historiography in the two books of Tarikh ol-Jaytu and Ehya al-Moluk
