The Stylistic Position of Sadness and Sorrow in Mulla Taheri Naini’s Poems

Abstract

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The relationship between the “emotion of sadness” and “imagery” is one of the deepest and most fundamental aesthetic connections in Persian literature. Sadness in Persian poetry is not only a psychological state, but also the “driving engine” of many creative images, symbols, and metaphors. The overflow of emotion and emotion in the artist’s soul, along with his spiritual and biological experiences, provides the basis for the formation of a work of art and compels him to compose, create, and produce a work of art. Among the Persian poetic periods that can be referred to as a specific period and style in the history of Persian literature is the Indian or Isfahani period. Although its widespread appearance and appearance must be sought outside the borders of Iran and the court of the Indian Gurbani, it has also left behind countless poets both from the court and from the alleys and bazaars within Iran. Among these poets whose divan and works are adorned with the ornament of nature is Mulla Taheri Naini. Some of his poems are more famous and famous than himself, and he is among the poets who have added to the richness of his poetry by extensively using the emotion of sadness and grief.

METHODOLOGY: This research, using a theoretical method and quantitative and qualitative analysis and presenting examples of Mulla Taheri"s poems, aims to examine the frequency of the emotion of sadness and grief and its role and position in its aesthetic and pictorial dimensions by examining it.

FINDINGS: The studies show that Mulla Taheri has used measures appropriate to the feeling of sadness and grief, creating space, musical and metrical proportions, and the use of various rhetorical techniques in order to convey this emotion.

CONCLUSION: The emotion of sadness and its dependencies has a significant appearance in the imagery of Molla Taheri"s poetry and has been manifested in the form of imaginary images, poetic compositions, musical repetitions, and poetic contrasts and contradictions. The sum of these components can be considered one of the reasons for the permanence and impact of Molla Taheri"s poetry and, to some extent, the identification of his style.
