This book has been called by other names such as Eskandari Dictionary, Tohfeh Eskandari, Tohfeh AlSa"adah, and Tohfeh Alsa"adat Eskandari. This Dictionary is initial Farsi interpretive Dictionaries in subcontinent. The author has arranged that in twenty-nine chapters spellingly (Tahajji) and every chapter has been gathered in two parts: first in simple, and second in idioms and complexes; this classification, distinguishes the Tohfat Als"adat from the early Farsi interpretive Dictionaries. For prepration and collection this book, the author has used many Farsi and Arabic lexicons such as Dastur Al afazel,Ghavvas Dictionary, Zefan Gouya,Ghazi Zahir Dictionary ,Hosseini Dictionary etc. Furthermore it is used by next lexicographers; also to authorship of Jahangiri Dictunary and Sorouri Dictionary the Mohammad Ghasem Sorouri has paied attention to this book. This lexicon explains about meaning of Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Indian words. Sometimes for better understanding about the meanings, it brings sample poems of ancient poets such as Ferdowsi, Rudaki, Hafez, Sadi, Ibn Sina, Zaheer Faryabi and etc. This article is going to introduce Tohfat Al sa"adat"s book shortly and investigate this book from several dimention such as lexical usage, the ways of writing dictionary entry and writing stylesفرهنگ تحفه السعادت از مولانا شیخ محمودبن ضیاءالدّین محمّد است که به سال 916ق در روزگار حکمرانی سلطان اسکندر لودی پادشاه دهلی(894-923 هجری قمری) در هندوستان تألیف و به خواجه سعیدالدّین محمّد طوسی تقدیم شده است. این کتاب با نامهای دیگری چون فرهنگ اسکندری، تحفه اسکندری، تحفه السعاداه و تحفین السعاده سکندری نیز خوانده شده است. این فرهنگ از نخستین فرهنگهای تفسیری فارسی در شبه قاره است که مؤلف آن را به صورت تهجی در بیست و نه باب ترتیب داده و هر باب در دو فصل آورده شده است: اول در مفردات و دوم در اصطلاحات و مرکبات؛ که این تقسیم بندی، تحفه السعادت را از فرهنگهای تفسیری اولیه فارسی متمایز میکند. مؤلف در تهیه و تدوین این کتاب از لغتنامه های فارسی و عربی پیشین بهره گرفته است علاوه بر این مورد توجه فرهنگ نویسان بعد از خود نیز واقع گردیده. صاحب کتاب درباره برخی از معانی عربی، فارسی، ترکی، هندی و... لغات توضیح میدهد و گاه برای فهم بهتر معانی، نمونه اشعاری از شاعران کهن چون فردوسی، رودکی، حافظ، سعدی، ابن سینا، ظهیرفاریابی و... می آورد. این نوشته با معرفی اجمالی فرهنگ تحفه السعادت، از زوایای گوناگونی مانند کاربرد واژگانی، شیوۀ مدخل دهی، سبک نگارشی و... تحفه السعادت را بررسی میکند.مولانا محمودبن شیخ ضیاءالدّین , تحفه السعادت, فرهنگنامه فارسیEskandari Dictionary, Tohfeh Eskandari, Tohfeh AlSa'adah, Tohfeh Alsa'adat Eskandarihttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/9.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/9.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/واکاوی و بررسی فرهنگ «تحفه السعادت»https://bahareadab.com/en/article/Analaysis and Investigation of Tohfat Als'adat's Dictionar
