Narrative can take different forms: verbal, written, moving or fixed images; thus, it includes a wide range of forms including: books, newspapers, novels, films, paintings, etc. Narrative is also found in various fields such as: literature, religion, philosophy and in general, in all the sciences. The present article examines the function of narrative in Attar’s Tadhkirat-ul-Awliyā based on the view of Genet. For this purpose, using analytic and descriptive methods, after explaining the theory of narrative based on the view of Genet, its main components including the time of the narrative which includes the length, sequence and frequency; facet or state of the narrative which includes distance and perspective; and tone or voice of the narrative which includes time and location of the narrator, that is, inner-text and outer-text narrator, are studied in Attar’s Tadhkirat. The most significant findings of the research indicate that due to the special structure of the stories of Attar, narratives are mostly in the form of axial dialogues along with omission or time compression as well as inner-textual, and at times outer-textual, repetition of some of the subject mattersروایت شناسی بر ساختار روایت که نوعی شیوۀ نقل از طریق روایت است،تکیه دارد. روایت، میتواند به صورت: گفتاری، نوشتاری، تصاویر متحرک یا ثابت باشد؛ به همین منظور، دایرۀ وسیعی از شکلهای گوناگون را در برمیگیرد از جمله: کتاب، روزنامه، رمان، فیلم، نقاشی و... روایت همچنین در حوزه های گوناگونی نظیر: ادبیات، دین، فلسفه و بطور کلی در همۀ علوم، مطرح است. مقالۀ حاضر به بررسی و کارکرد روایت در تذکره الاولیاء عطار بر اساس دیدگاه ژنت پرداخته است؛ به همین منظور، به روش تحلیلی و توصیفی پس از تبیین نظریۀ روایت بر اساس دیدگاه ژنت، مهمترین نشانههای آن از جمله: زمان روایت که شامل طول، ترتیب و بسامد است؛ وجه یا حالت در روایت که شامل فاصله و چشم انداز است؛ و لحن یا آوا که شامل زمان و مکان راوی یعنی راوی درون متنی و برون متنی است، در تذکره عطار مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. حاصل مهمترین یافتههای تحقیق حکایت از آن میکند که: به دلیل ساختار خاص حکایتهای عطار، کارکرد روایت بیشتر به صورت گفتگو محوری در کنار حذف یا فشردگی زمانی و همچنین تکرار برخی از موضوعات، بصورت درون متنی و گاهی برون متنی است.عطار, تذکره الاولیاء, روایت, کانون روایت, وجه, لحنAttar, Tadhkirat-ul-Awliyā, narrative, focus of narrative, facet, tonehttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/30.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/30.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/کارکرد روایت در تذکره الاولیاء شیخ عطارنیشابوریhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/The Function of Narrative in Sheikh Attar Neyshaburi’s Tadhkirat-ul-Awliyā
