In this context, we decided to compare the intellectual themes of these two British and Iranian writers and orators by studying the poems of William Blake (1757-1827 AD) and Mohammad Taghi Bahar (1265-1330 AD), and in this way, we will bring the common content of their poems to the reader"s attention and add another page to the book of the cultural-literary alliance between the East and the West. METHODOLOGY: The study method in the mentioned subject is descriptive-analytical and we have benefited from library resources to answer the research question and achieve the research goals. FINDINGS: The findings show that a comparative study between the poems of William Blake and Mohammad Taghi Bahar (based on the American school) can be conducted and from this perspective, significant common points can be reached, so that, despite the nearly one century gap between the two, almost what Blake considered in his various poems was also Bahar"s concern, and in this respect, the ideals of both appeared very close to each other. CONCLUSION: The most prominent common theme between William Blake and Mohammad Taghi Bahar is patriotism and national tendencies. However, the concept of nationality in their view was not purely emotional and political (and so-called chauvinistic) prejudices, but rather it meant "ideal nationality", that is, what connects the nation with human morality and emotions and makes it sympathetic and aligned with other societies. Therefore, in the poems of both poets, harsh and unbiased criticisms of the institution of power (state and religion) can be seen. Another common feature of these two writers and orators is the alignment of their philosophical views, in such a way that they see the universe as a set of contradictions and contradictions that have led to symmetry and unity. زمینه و هدف: ادبیات تطبیقی شاخه ای از تحقیق و تتبعات یکی دو دهۀ اخیر در ایران است که بطور مشخص به بررسی درونمایۀ آثار فرهنگی و ادبی صاحبان ذوق و اندیشه از زبان و ملتهای مختلف میپردازد. در این زمینه جستار حاضر با جستجو در سروده های ویلیام بلیک‌ (۱۷۵۷ - ۱۸۲۷ م) و محمد تقی بهار (۱۲۶۵ - ۱۳۳۰)، بن‌مایه های فکری این دو ادیب و سخنور بریتانیایی و ایرانی را با یکدیگر مقایسه کرده و از این طریق مشترکات محتوایی سخنان آنان را به رؤیت خواننده رسانده و برگی دیگر به همپوشانیهای فرهنگی‌ ـ ادبی بین شرق و غرب افزوده است. روش تحقیق: روش مطالعه در موضوع یاد شده توصیفی‌ ـ تحلیلی بوده و از منابع کتابخانه ای برای پاسخ به پرسش تحقیق و رسیدن به اهداف پژوهش بهره مند شده ایم. یافته ها: یافته ها نشان میدهد: مطالعۀ تطبیقی بین اشعار ویلیام بلیک‌ و محمد تقی بهار (بر پایه مکتب آمریکایی) قابل انجام بوده و از این منظر به نکات مشترک قابل اعتنایی میتوان دست پیدا کرد به طوری که، با وجود نزدیک به یک قرن فاصلۀ زمانی میان آن دو، تقریبا آنچه را بلیک در سروده های گونه گون خود مورد توجه قرار داده، دغدغۀ بهار نیز بوده و از این حیث آرمانهای هر دو بسیار نزدیک به یکدیگر رخ نموده است. نتیجه گیری: شاخصترین‌ بن مایه مشترک میان ویلیام بلیک‌ و محمد تقی بهار، میهن دوستی و گرایشهای ملی است. با این حال، مفهوم ملیت در نظر آن‌ دو از نوع تعصبات احساسی و سیاسی‌ محض (و به اصطلاح شوونیستی) نبوده بلکه مراد از آن «ملیت آرمانی» است، یعنی آنچه ملت را با اخلاق و عواطف بشری پیوند میدهد و با دیگر جوامع همدل و همسو میگرداند. از همین رو، در سروده های هر دو شاعر نقدهای تند و بیمحابایی نسبت به نهاد قدرت (دولت و مذهب) دیده میشود. ویژگی مشترک دیگر این دو ادیب و سخنور، همسویی نگاه فلسفی آنان است به گونه ای که جهان هستی را مجموعه ای از تضاد و تناقض میبینند که به تقارن و یکپارچگی منتهی شده است.ادبیات تطبیقی, مکتب آمریکا, بن‌مایه های فکری, شعر, ویلیام بلیک‌, محمد تقی بهارComparative literature, American school, intellectual foundations, poetry, William Blake, Mohammad Taghi Baharhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/2067.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/2067.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/تحلیل تطبیقی بنمایه های اشعار ویلیام بلیک‌ و محمد تقی بهار (با رویکرد به مکتب آمریکایی)https://bahareadab.com/en/article/Comparative Analysis of the Themes of William Blake and Mohammad Taghi Bahar's Poems (With an Approach to the American School)
