Lyotard laid the foundations of his theory by presenting the plan of the collapse and collapse of grand narratives and their negation and rejection. In this research, we seek to discuss and examine the negation of grand narratives in the fictional works of one of the prominent postmodernist writers in Iran, namely Mohammad Reza Kateb, in order to evaluate the basic characteristics of the negation of grand narrative in his prominent novels. METHODOLOGY: This essay will be conducted in a descriptive-analytical manner based on library studies and relying on contemporary literary theory regarding the negation of grand narrative by Lyotard in a selection of the postmodernist works of Mohammad Reza Kateb, a contemporary writer. FINDINGS: The research findings show that contemporary literature and fiction can, as a philosophical text, negate and reject macro-narratives; as in the fiction works of Mohammad Reza Kateb, the main characteristics of negating macro-narratives with an emphasis on uncertainty and negating any presuppositions can be observed. CONCLUSION: In Mohammad Reza Kateb’s novels, the narrative structure in the direction of negating macro-narratives can be observed, in accordance with Lyotard’s model. The presence of components such as uncertainty, suspense, doubt and doubt about the established truth, the collapse and incoherence of identity, and the proliferation of meaning show that Mohammad Reza Kateb has founded his fictional world on the basis of the discrediting of macro-narratives.زمینه و هدف: ژان فرانسوا لیوتار از جمله نظریّه پردازان برجسته پست مدرنیسم در دوران معاصر است که شاخصه ها و مؤلفه های قابل توجّهی را برای آثار پست مدرنیستی مطرح نمود. لیورتار با ارائه طرح فروپاشی و برافتادن کلان روایتها و نفی و طرد آنها، مبانی نظریّه خویش را پایه ریزی کرد. در این پژوهش بدنبال بحث و بررسی نفی کلان روایتها در آثار داستانی یکی از نویسندگان مطرح پست مدرنیسم در ایران یعنی محمّدرضا کاتب هستیم تا شاخصه های اساسی نفی کلان روایت را در رمانهای برجسته او مورد ارزیابی قرار دهیم. روش مطالعه: این جستار بشیوه توصیفی ـ تحلیلی بر مبنای مطالعات کتابخانه ای و با تکیه بر نظریّه ادبی معاصر در خصوص نفی کلان روایت از لیوتار در گزیده ای از آثار پست مدرنیستی محمّدرضا کاتب از نویسندگان معاصر انجام خواهد شد. یافته های پژوهش: یافته های پژوهش نشان میدهد که ادبیّات و آثار داستانی معاصر میتواند بمثابه یک متن فلسفی، کلان روایتها را نفی و طرد کند؛ چنانکه در آثار داستانی محمّدرضا کاتب شاخصه های اصلی نفی کلان روایت با تأکید بر عدم قطعیّت و نفی هرگونه پیش فرض قابل مشاهده است. نتایج پژوهش: در رمانهای محمّدرضا کاتب ساختار روایت در جهت نفی کلان روایتها، منطبق با الگوی لیوتار قابل مشاهده است. حضور مؤلفه هایی چون عدم قطعیّت، تعلیق، شک و تردید نسبت به حقیقت تثبیت شده، فروپاشی و عدم انسجام هویّتی و تکثّر معنا نشان میدهد که محمّدرضاکاتب، جهان داستانی خود را بر پایه بی‌ اعتباری کلان روایتها بنیان نهاده است.ادبیّات معاصر, محمّدرضا کاتب, رمان پست مدرن, نفی کلان روایت, لیوتار.Contemporary literature.
