In this research, proverbs (folk sayings) and maxims are considered as two facets of a single wisdom-bearing discourse: the former rooted in the oral traditions of the people, and the latter linked to the didactic heritage of Pahlavi advisory literature. Both serve as mediating devices in the Shahnameh for transmitting ethical, political, and social value. METHODOLOGY: The study collects examples from the text and categorises them thematically into eight principal domains, including praise of wisdom and rationality, preservation of justice and generosity, the transience of the world, devotion to the Divine, commendation of harmonious coexistence, principles of governance, among others. These themes illustrate the prominent patterns of Ferdowsi’s utilisation of such maxims. The method combines textual and thematic analysis with a review of earlier sources, in order to clarify both the cultural-historical roots and the rhetorical techniques (such as sententious expressions, repetition, and allegory) employed by Ferdowsi. FINDINGS: The analysis indicates that proverbs and maxims in the Shahnameh perform multiple functions: reinforcing collective memory, teaching the principles of governance and personal ethics, creating coherence between mythological and historical layers, and enhancing the rhetorical appeal of the work. CONCLUSION: The research demonstrates that Ferdowsi, by integrating oral tradition with written didactic heritage, was able to condense moral and national messages into succinct and enduring forms of expression, thereby transforming the Shahnameh into a linguistic-cultural apparatus for reproducing national identity.زمینه و هدف: پژوهش حاضر به صورت موضوعی و سبک‌شناختی به زبانزدها و اندرزهای به کار رفته در شاهنامۀ فردوسی میپردازد و میکوشد کارکردهای این گونه های کوتاه گفتاری را در تقویت پیوند میان متن حماسی و حافظۀ فرهنگی- تاریخی ایران نشان دهد. در این جستار، زبانزدها (دستانزد) و اندرزها به عنوان دو روی یک روایت حکمت‌آمیز دیده شده اند؛ یکی ریشه در ادبیات گفتاری تودهها و دیگری پیوندی با سنّتهای اندرزنامۀ پهلوی دارد که هر دو در شاهنامه نقش واسطه ای در انتقال ارزشهای اخلاقی، سیاسی و اجتماعی ایفا میکنند. روشها: پژوهش با گردآوری نمونه ها از متن و سپس دسته بندی موضوعی (هشت محور اصلی)، از جمله ستایش خرد و خردگرایی، پاسداشت داد و دهش، گذرا بودن جهان، بندگی یزدان، ستایش همزیستی نیکو، آئین کشورداری و ...الگوهای شاخص بهره گیری فردوسی از این گزارهها را نشان میدهد. روش کار تحلیل متنی و موضوعی همراه با بازخوانی منابع پیشینه بوده است تا هم ریشه های فرهنگی-تاریخی و هم شگردهای بلاغی (ارسال‌مثل، تکرار، تمثیل و...) تبیین شود. یافته ها: بررسی پژوهشگران بیانگر آن است که زبانزدها و اندرزها در شاهنامه کارکردهای چندگانه دارند: تقویت حافظۀ جمعی، آموزش آئین کشورداری و اخلاق فردی، ایجاد هم‌خوانی میان لایه های اسطوره ای و تاریخی، و افزایش گیرایی بیانی اثر. ما در رساله نزدیک به 300 زبانزد و بیش از 1800 اندرز را از شاهنامه درآوردیم. در اینجا بر پایۀ گنجایش محدود مقاله، شمار اندکی از آنها را با موضوعهای گوناگون در مقاله آوردیم. نتیجه گیری: پژوهش نشان میدهد که فردوسی با تلفیق سنت گفتاری و سنت حکمی مکتوب، توانسته است پیامهای اخلاقی و ملّی را در قالبهایی موجز و ماندگار فشرده سازد و این‌گونه شاهنامه را به دستگاهی زبانی ـ فرهنگی برای بازتولید هویت ملّی تبدیل کند.تحلیل موضوعی, شاهنامه, سبک فردوسی, اندرزها, زبانزدهاThematic analysis, Shahnameh, Ferdowsi’s style, maxims, proverbshttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1906.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1906.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/تحلیل موضوعی زبانزدها و اندرزها و سبک بکارگیری آنها در شاهنامۀ فردوسی با نگاهی بر پیوند آن با فرهنگ و تاریخ ایرانhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/Thematic Analysis of Proverbs and Maxims and Their Stylistic Use in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh with Reference to Their Connection to Iranian Culture and History
