S. Pearson and Hugh. K. Marr. In this method of criticism, in addition to paying attention to the archetypes of a work, how they are reflected in the infrastructure of the text is evaluated and analyzed. Pearson is one of the psychologists after Jung who, by presenting the twelve archetypes of the awakening of the inner hero, has presented the path of departure until the hero reaches his existential truth. The main goal of this study is to examine and evaluate the personality of the "being" of the main protagonist of the novel Wandering Island by Simin Daneshvar, based on Pearson"s model. METHODOLOGY: The research method in this article is descriptive-analytical based on theoretical and library studies in which we will use Pearson"s archetypal criticism method and discuss and review by referring to the novel Wandering Island by Simin Daneshvar and analyzing the main character of the story "Being". FINDINGS: The research findings show that based on Pearson"s archetypal criticism method, Being, as the main hero of the novel Wandering Island, goes through the stages of departure, "beginning of the journey" and return (promotion and transcendence) in order to achieve self-knowledge and freedom from wandering. CONCLUSION: The results of the research indicate that among the twelve archetypes that Pearson presents, the innocent, orphan, protector, lover, and warrior archetypes are the archetypes that are well responsible for the process of individualization (self-discovery) of the hero of the story until he reaches transcendence and transcendence.زمینه و هدف: نقد کهن الگویی یکی از مبانی نقد ادبی معاصر است که با تکیه بر اصول روانشناختی و نظریّات کارل گوستاو یونگ بنا شد و بعدها توسط اندیشمندان و روانشناسان دیگر از جمله کارول. اس. پیرسون و هیو.کی. مار مورد توجّه قرار گرفت. در این شیوه از نقد، ضمن توجّه به کهن‌الگوهای یک اثر، چگونگی انعکاس آنها در زیرساخت متن مورد ارزیابی و تحلیل قرار میگیرد. پیرسون، یکی از روانشناسان پس از یونگ است که با ارائه کهن الگوهای دوازده گانه بیداری قهرمان درون، مسیر عزیمت تا تشرّف قهرمان برای رسیدن به حقیقت وجودی خویش را ارائه نموده است. در این پژوهش هدف اصلی آن است که بر اساس الگوی پیرسون، شخصیّت «هستی» قهرمان اصلی رمان جزیره سرگردانی اثر سیمین دانشور را مورد بررسی و ارزیابی قرار دهیم. روش پژوهش: روش پژوهش در این مقاله توصیفی- تحلیلی بر مبنای مطالعات نظری و کتابخانه ای است که در آن از شیوه نقد کهن الگویی پیرسون بهره خواهیم گرفت و با مراجعه به رمان جزیره سرگردانی اثر سیمین دانشور و تحلیل شخصیّت اصلی داستان «هستی» به بحث و بررسی میپردازیم. یافته های پژوهش: یافته های پژوهش نشان میدهد که بر اساس شیوه نقد کهن الگویی پیرسون، هستی بعنوان قهرمان اصلی رمان جزیره سرگردانی مراحل عزیمت «آغاز سفر» و بازگشت (تشرّف و تعالی) را پشت سر میگذارد تا به خودشناسی و رهایی از سرگردانی دست یابد. نتایج پژوهش: نتایج حاصل از پژوهش بیانگر آن است که از میان کهن الگوهای دوازده گانه ای که پیرسیون ارائه میکند، کهن الگوی معصوم، یتیم، حامی، عاشق و جنگجو، کهن‌الگوهایی هستند که روند تفرّد (خویشتن‌یابی) قهرمان داستان تا رسیدن به تعالی و تشرّف را بخوبی برعهده دارند.نقد کهن الگویی, کهن الگو, نظریه پیرسون, رمان جزیره سرگردانی, سیمین دانشور.Archetypal criticism.
